Q. Where is your studio located?

A. The Stories in Light studio has been specifically designed for executive / business portraits. The environment is comfortable and non-intimidating, allowing you to be yourself. We are located in Oakville at 217 River Glen Blvd. near Dundas St. and Trafalgar Rd.

Sessions are by appointment only.

Q. Will you come to my office?

A. Yes. We bring our professional lighting / backdrops to you. Indoor portraits do require an open space such as a boardroom. Requests for environmental portraits (i.e. no backdrop) can also be accommodated.

Q. I need portraits for my whole team, how can this be accomplished?

A. When there are multiple subjects involved (individually or in groups) we typically recommend us coming to your location if possible. This allows for the greatest efficiency, least interruption to staffs work day and is also the most economical approach.

Q. Do I receive a digital file?

A. Yes. All corporate portaits (individual or group) will receive one high-resolution .jpg (approximately 8x10 @ 300 dpi) in colour and black & white as part of our creative fee. Multiple files are available for an additional fee.

Q. How should I dress?

A. An executive / business portrait is an extension of your professional brand. We recommend that you dress as you would when meeting with clients on a day-to-day basis. We suggest, however, avoiding clothing with bold stripes or patterns (excluding ties).

Q. As a woman, should I apply my make-up in a special way?

A. As with clothing, we recommend applying make-up as you normally would when meeting with clients. Powder, however, does help to even the complexion.

Q. What are your rates?

A. Creative fees start at $165.00. While our commissions are not priced to be the cheapest, you will be completely thrilled with your Stories in Light experience and portrait or we will do whatever it takes until you are.

Q. What is your rescheduling / cancellation policy?

A. Your session date / time for an in-studio portrait is secured with a $50.00 retainer, $100.00 for location portraits (both non-refundable). Should you need to reschedule, we ask for 24-hrs notice. Your retainer will be applied to your new date (must be within 30-days of original session). Should you decide to cancel your session, your retainer may be transferred to another individual if they schedule their session to take place within 30-days of your cancelled date.
